Doris Uhl Honored by Brent Walker 
Doris Uhl is the winner of this years AALS Volunteer of the Year Award for Libraries in Communities under 10,000 people. The Mayor and the City Council released a proclamation on the 22nd of March declaring the 26th of March 2010 as Doris Uhl Day in celebration of her award.
Doris Uhl works hard and volunteers full time at the Library. She is the treasurer of the Friends of the Library, a group that works to support the Library and help raise funds for supplies and purchases. Aside from her involvement with the Library Doris Uhl also serves on the Sports and Recreation Advisory Board for the City of Castroville. |
